TPR – Thermoplastic Rubber

NPPL Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) Compounds are available for a wide range of applications. These compounds are formulated using Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) or Styrene-Ethylene/Butylene-Styrene (SEBS) block copolymers that have both hard and soft segments. The hard segments provide strength and rigidity, while the soft segments provide flexibility and elasticity.

Properties :

  1. Soft touch feel
  2. Weather resistance
  3. Ozone resistance
  4. Low temperature flexibility
  5. Resistance to chemicals
  1. Lightweight
  2. Impact resistance
  3. High recyclability
  4. Easily coloured unlike rubber
  5. Excellent fatigue resistance

TPR can be processed by injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding, and can be recycled easily. TPR has many advantages over conventional vulcanized rubber, such as lower cost, faster production, and better chemical resistance. Processing TPR also provides commercial advantages over vulcanized, thermoset rubbers which are processed using a slower and costlier curing process. Most of our TPR formulations are 100% recyclable and are RoHS compliant.

Typical Applications :

  1. Footwear products
  2. Gaskets
  3. Cable jacketing
  4. Toys
  5. Automotive components
  1. Soft touch over moulding
  2. Consumer moulding products
  3. Protective equipment
  4. Grips
